By accessing or using MemVault ("the Service", "we", "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

2. Description of Service

MemVault is a meme-sharing platform that allows users to browse, upvote, save, and submit image-based content. The Service is provided free of charge and is intended for personal, non-commercial use.

3. User Accounts

You may create an account to access additional features. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Providing accurate and current information

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. User-Submitted Content

When you submit content to MemVault, you:

• Confirm you own the content or have rights to share it
• Grant MemVault a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display and distribute your content on the Service
• Remain solely responsible for the content you post

We do not claim ownership of your content. You may request removal of your submissions at any time by contacting us.

5. Prohibited Content

You must not post content that:

• Is illegal under applicable law
• Depicts or promotes violence, self-harm, or exploitation of minors
• Constitutes hate speech based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or disability
• Infringes third-party copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights
• Contains spam, malware, or deceptive material
• Violates another person's privacy (e.g. non-consensual intimate imagery)

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these rules without notice.

6. Intellectual Property

The MemVault name, logo, and site design are our intellectual property. Many memes displayed on the platform are third-party content shared under fair-use conventions of internet culture. We respond promptly to valid DMCA takedown notices — see Section 9 for contact details.

7. Third-Party Services

The Service uses the following third-party services, each governed by their own terms and privacy policies:

• Cloudflare Pages & Workers — hosting and edge compute
• Cloudflare D1 — user account database
• ImgBB — image hosting for submitted memes
• Google Analytics (GA4) — anonymised usage statistics

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Meme content is user-submitted or internet-sourced; we make no representations about its accuracy or appropriateness.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MemVault and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in India.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
